Animal Species shows the location of all your animals, which is useful if you need to take a photograph of, or otherwise locate, a specific animal. The two most useful pings are Animal Species and Animal Level. You can select the type of ping you want with and as indicated in the bottom right of the screen. Rather than having to press over and over to go back through a menu chain, will usually, but not always, take you straight out of the menus and back to the zoo. It provides extra information which is very useful in both managing the zoo and setting up exhibits. Holding is your go-to control in the game. This should only be noticeable in the first Challenge zoo. Eventually, your zoo will grow so large that it becomes virtually impossible to fully satisfy guests needs but it should just plateau rather than come crashing down. You can offset the loss of income by building concessions and setting their price to high.

You will see each happiness level listed with a percentage next to it. A handy tool in relation to happiness is located under Economy Breakdown in the Zoo Menu. Who knows, if they listened well to the critiques of the first game, this one might actually be pretty good.Zoo Tycoon is playable on Windows. I wouldn't drop this like it's hot just because the first game sucked. WildLife Park 2 - I've never played this, but I can see the interface is much different and by the sounds of it, there are lots of new animals and lots of cool stuff. So much so that the interface was the biggest turn off. There were very few animals, very few objects and on top of that. WildLife Park 1 - I didn't play this for long but what I did notice of it wasn't great. There are also lots of other places to get animal downloads.) With a few downloads and a little creativity, you can turn basic exhibits that you'd make in the tutorial to. (These are the current and most prevailing sites right now. Take a look at Zeta-Designs, thezt2roundtable and Aurora Designs. There are also communities that supply the updates that no longer come. :( But this game was an even bigger step up. Zoo Tycoon 2 - Great interface, less picky animals, more types of animals although it's missing 1 or 2 and we don't have the Unicorn cheat. (There are some animal downloads available like the Blue Dart Frog.) The animals were a little picky about things but the interface was great, the amount of animals available was good, and the overall game play was amazing. (I guess this is for anyone else finding this question.) I've played Zoo Tycoon 1 Complete and 2 Complete.
